Here is the new home of the All Sky Camera, mounted on the very end of the gantry for the roll off roof so that it remains clear of the roof when it is opened. The weather station is to the right and slightly lower so that it doesn’t obstruct the view.
Below is a summer Milkyway image from the All Sky Camera after it moved to the Nordland Field Observatory. This one taken on August 4, 2026.
Below an image taken on Aug 17, 2026 with some aurora activity, a few high clouds and a smudge on the dome over the camera, so not a perfect shot, but shows opportunity for future aurora shots when conditions are bit better and the aurora activity is even more intense. Image rotated so that the aurora is in a more natural looking to the north perspective.
