The Veil Nebula is in Constellation of Cygnus, the Swan. The Veil Nebula is part of the a larger object called the Cygnus loop. NGC6960 is one part of a supernova remnant that exploded roughly 8000 years ago.
This image was taken on Sept 10, 2026 using the Celestron XLT 150P Newtonian and an ASI1200MM astro camera with LRGB filters. Total exposure is about 4 hours. This the longest exposure taken to date from the new roll off roof observatory.
Below are three photos from day before and the day this image was taken. First image is another Milky Way photo from the observatory on the day before this image was taken. The second is a view inside the observatory at the time. And the third picture is one taken from the remote camera mounted on the inside wall of the observatory during acquisition.
