The Horsehead Nebula and Flame nebula. Shot from West Coast of Big Island HI. These two nebulas are designated NGC 2023 and NGC 2024 in the New General Catalog of stars. So very appropriate to shoot on Dec 30/31 of 2023. Nice dark skies and low latitude really help. This is about an hour and half of exposure. The evening clouds cleared around 10PM and the moon rose around 11:30.
