The Iris Nebula. It is a bright star illuminating a reflection nebula in the northern constellation of Cepheus. It is also surrounded by very faint dust. The Iris Nebula is a difficult target to shoot because it is faint and it requires very dark skies and long exposures. This image is stacked from one overnight session, about 3 hours of 5 minute exposures.
Shot with 750mm focal length reflector scope, a coma corrector and an ASI533MC cooled color camera. Other gear used: ZWO AM3 mount, 120mm FL guide scope. Running NINA and PHD2 on a Mele Quiter3 mini PC. Stacked and processed in Siril. Also used DXO and Nik Dfine for Noise Reduction.
