Elephant trunk nebula taken on July 21, 2023. It is part of our Milky Way Galaxy and visible in the constellation of Cepheus, about halfway between Deneb in the constellation of Cygnus (the Swan or Northern Cross) and the constellation Cassiopeia.
This image is stacked from only 40 minutes of exposure, taken with a 6 inch Newtonian with 750mm focal length on the Open Astro Mount. The image is processed with Hydrogen III and Oxygen III wavelengths assigned to RGB as HOO, a partial Hubble Palette.
