Pinwheel Galaxy. Supernova in lower arm is still relatively bright. Used Celestron Omni XLT 150 scope on OpenAstroMount in relatively dark sky location taken at new moon. About 1.5 hours of exposure. Taken on June 23, 2013.
Below is a picture taken of the pinwheel galaxy using a Samyang 135mm lens on the OpenAstroTracker a few days after the supernova was discovered in May of 2023. Didn’t have the OpenAstroMount completed at the time, so it is relatively small due to the shorter focal length.
